Please note that the competition has now ended and results were announced at ICDAR 2005 – see here for more information. The following should be used for reference purposes only.

Beginning		Prospective authors of candidate methods registered their intention to participate and received a username & password, which enabled them to download the training dataset (document images and associated ground truth). Also, once registered, further details on the organisation of the competition could be accessed.
April 25th, 2005 (Updated)		Registered authors of candidate methods were able to download the document images of the evaluation dataset.
May 3rd, 2005 (Updated)		Authors of candidate methods submitted their results in the required format (see Resources). The organisers then evaluated the submitted results and prepared a detailed report comparing the candidate methods.
August, 2005		The results were announced at an ICDAR2005 special session. Please see here for more information.
