ICDAR 2007 Page Segmentation Competition

Page Segmentation is of fundamental importance among Layout Analysis steps and has been (and continues to be) relatively well researched. The motivation of the competition is to evaluate existing approaches using a realistic dataset and an objective performance analysis system.

The ICDAR 2007 Page Segmentation Competition follows the successful running of three previous competitions by the same organisers. For more information, including results, please refer to the following papers:

The ICDAR 2007 competition is currently in the initial stages. Prospective entrants are encouraged to register now to gain access to the Resources section (training dataset and further details on the competition).
